At BioHelp UK ("we", "us", "our"), we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website, in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

When you use our platform, we collect the following information:
- Identity Data: First name, last name, and profile picture (provided securely by Google when you sign in).
- Contact Data: Email address (provided by Google).
- Academic Data: Exam board, Year Group, and Target Grade that you manually select during onboarding.
- Usage & Performance Data: Quiz scores, topics studied, active mistakes (Bank of Doom), login timestamps, and usage of premium features.
- Referral Data: Unique invite codes generated for your account and records of users who signed up using your code.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide and improve your educational experience:
- To create and personalize your dashboard and revision materials.
- To track your progress, save your scores, and identify weak areas for improvement.
- To manage our referral program and grant Premium access rewards.
- To analyze aggregate (anonymous) trends to improve our question database and platform functionality.
We never sell your personal data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
3. Third-Party Services (Google & Stripe)
We use trusted third-party services to ensure your security:
- Google Identity Services: We use Google to handle logins. We do not see, collect, or store your passwords.
- Stripe (Payments): When you choose to purchase a Premium upgrade, your payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store, process, or have access to your credit card details or financial information.
4. Cookies
We use "Strictly Necessary" cookies and local storage to keep you logged in as you browse, to remember your UI preferences (like Dark Mode), and to protect against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks.
5. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: View the data we hold about you (visible on your Dashboard).
- Erasure: Request that we delete your account, scores, and all associated personal data.
